Kauai Cottages Tropical Retreat is located above Kauai's Coconut
Coast with beautiful views of four mountain ranges and the Pacific
ocean. Very peaceful and quiet, close to all amenities, and near
hiking and walking trails, these cottages are perfect for a tropical
vacation or honeymoon. Bordered by towering ponciana trees and colorful
tropical flowers, the gardens are a delight. There are avocados,
lychee, mango, bananas, papaya, guava, mountain apple, breadfruit,
macadamia nuts, lillikoi/passion fruit, soursop and atemoya. We
are on 3 acres with a pool, and a Koi pond. Both cottages are decorated
with an Hawaiian and Asian flair.
The Cottages
The Bushido cottage is the original cottage built
on the property over 50 years ago. Complete with tin/metal roof,
shoji doors, and hardwood floors, the second bedroom overlooks the
Koi pond. Bushido cottage is a 2 bedroom, 3 bath with a fully equipped
kitchen. The Nalikka cottage is 1 bedroom 1 bath. It features
a lava rock shower, as well as outdoor surf shower, with the pool
directly in front. The Nalikka cottage is also decorated with Hawaiian
quilts, lauhala mats, and books on Hawaiian culture. There is a
covered lanai in front and barbecue area. This country setting is
a quick 10 minutes from shopping and restaurants.
Nearby Attractions
The Moalepe trail, Sleeping Giant trail, biking, kayaking the Wailua
river, Keahua Forestry Arboretum, and horseback riding. Many restaurants
and shops. The best farmers' market on the island featuring fresh,
locally grown vegetables and tropical fruits on Wednesdays. Close
by to beautiful beaches and the beginning of the north shore. Centrally
located.
